話說在1月23號成功嶺結訓前一天，運氣很好的剛好驗證我朋友說的，軍中病毒潛力無窮，直接發燒感冒，隔天回家之後馬上看病，雖然有再回部隊前有兩天半的時間可以休養，只能說這點時間可以讓我們保持最後一點的＂餘瘟＂回部對傳染給別人。回到部隊的隔天馬上就要撥交到專訓場所，澄清湖。到了那邊當然還是群體生活，所以果不其然，不到兩天馬上病情復發，喉嚨超痛開始咳嗽，直接跟長官報備去診所看病了。休假的兩天也很乖的在家待著沒到處亂跑，病情也回到＂餘瘟＂。在藥吃完的情況下，回到了專訓場所。只能說群體生活，病就是他嗎的不會好，短短不到兩天，又再度惡化了。於是就帶著我的病從澄清湖回到了台北，順便在小年夜的晚上去看病。醫生也開了六天的藥跟抗生素給我，希望在過年期間病情可以妥散控制和休養之後可以得到完全治癒這樣。
但可惜的是，過年期間在我們家真要能好好休養，真是沒那個環境阿。人很多，想當然的就是聊天跟賭博。推筒子，大老二，射龍門，黑傑克，德州撲克，麻將，鬥地主，連接龍都能拿來賭，在接連的三天狂賭熬夜下，果然在初三的一早，病情惡化到不去台大急診，之後得到的結論是＂非典型肺炎＂。（幹，都這樣子了，還每天輸錢，是有沒有這麼衰？）
好吧我承認我被嚇到了，畢竟典型肺炎已經夠嚴重了，非典型肺炎就不一樣了，可大可小，傳染性很強之外，還有一命嗚呼的可能。從這天之後，開始有節制性的休養跟控制情緒（小賭怡情這樣），到了現在病情有被控制下來，希望明天回診的時候，Ｘ光可以給點好消息這樣ＸＤ。
給即將入伍的弟兄們，記得一到軍中就直接拿口罩，沒病的怕傳染，有病的別傳染給別人。感冒不是好東西，不用分享。

(心得)教育役專訓@澄清湖
經過了短短16天的成功嶺軍事訓練之後，1月28號的一早，負責專訓的教官來到了成功嶺把教育替代役的役男接走了。到了澄清湖之後用完了午餐跟開訓典禮之後，跟一些簡單的內務規則和注意事項之後，馬上就開始了專訓的課程。
相較於成功嶺的一個口令一個動作，澄清湖明顯的自由很多，可以帶手機（上課不要玩），下課可以跑雜貨舖和抽菸，這些對我們這些剛從成功嶺出來的役男就像是到了冬令營一樣（雖然真的很像），由於我是英文專長，所以我是和其他英專的役男一起上課（小班制），專長申請的都是小班，上課的內容見仁見智，但我覺得相比成功嶺的課程，專訓的課程有趣太多了，也比較有意義，講座們也都很有知識。上課要仔細聽，考試的時候會出這些對選填分發處所很重要，往往多錯一題就ＧＧ了。 但其實對專長班的來說這個影響就沒這麼大了，因為專長班的會和同專長的競爭。比如說這梯英專班有25個人，所以就只有25個缺。除了少數幾個真的爛缺之外，大部分的缺在選之前都差不多喬好了（我們這梯就是）。因為是小班，所以大家感情都很好。建議：真的不要為了那一兩分壞了大家的緣分阿。
不過說真的，在這兩個禮拜的專訓，我真的沒什麼印象。時間過的太快太爽，很希望繼續過下去。長官和分隊長對我們的照顧真的可以稱為細心呵護。
給各位未來要去澄清湖專訓的役男，別太擔心，那邊過得很好，放鬆心情去那邊上課，認識朋友吧，但也別忘了替代役的宗旨＂愛心，服務，責任，紀律＂！！！

(心得) 116梯替代役成功嶺新訓
計畫永遠都改不上變化，在過去移民待在美國的日子裡，從沒想過我會有回來台灣當兵的一天，就算是當替代役也沒有想過．不過經過一段long story的情況下，在2013年的一月七號，我到了台北火車站南一門集合，出發到成功嶺開始了第116梯的替代役訓練班的日子，在這段三個小時的役男專車（火車）上，役男們拿到了一個便當，在吃完了便當，和旁邊的同梯聊了天之後，到達了烏日火車站，之後由專車統一帶到了成功嶺．一下車先把各區的役男集合起來之後做一些基本的資料確認跟脫光衣服的健康檢查，然後就把我們帶到各大隊的各中隊集合，算是做一種簡單的中隊編成吧．我剛好分到第一大隊的第三中隊，這個中隊以台南跟新北的役男組合編成，開始依序按照身高從排頭排到排尾．等到隊伍編成好之後，我們就統一被帶到採買用品的地方，相信徵集令上面有寫要帶的東西，我個人的建議是，只要帶上面寫的東西順便帶一包沒開過的平版衛生紙（方便內務檢查用），其餘的都來裡面買就可以了．
各分隊都會建議多買一套內衣跟洗衣袋，個人覺得其實是不用（除非你是夏天入伍或是非常愛乾淨外），不然其實是浪費錢．每天都會洗衣服（統一晚上收，隔天中午就會拿到了）第一天的晚上基本上就是填寫資料，跟一些生活常規的宣導．
其實來到成功嶺替代役新訓的這１６天（扣到放假，真正在軍中的日子裡），除了第一天因為太多東西要準備要趕之外，其他的日子其實都不算苦．雖然每天都要跑三千公尺（沒下雨的話），但這應該算是成功嶺替代役的日子裡最有意義的活動吧（身體健康要緊）．每天吃得飽，生活上擔心的只有內務扣分會不會影響到放假之外，其他的都不用擔心．現在開始回想到起那１６天的生活，說實在話真沒什麼印象，每天早上起床跑三千之後回到寢室整理內務，然後帶去吃早餐，吃完早餐回到寢室休息刷牙，之後開始早上的課程，基本上在教室上課的機會比較多（所以每天都是文具包水杯上手），然後中午吃飯後午休到一點四十分（這段時間都是自己的時間），下午繼續上課（偶爾會有體適能），六點吃晚飯，吃完晚飯，晚上的課大多是教唱軍歌跟一些自己中隊要公布的事項（簡單說就是部隊自用時間），所以這段日子其實就是每天等吃飯就對了．課程的內容見仁見智，有些人認為很好，有些人覺得無聊，考試也不會考．大部分的人上課時間都在看考古題．
成功嶺分數分為基本教練 22.5%
3000公尺 22.5%
法規考試 45%
生活常規 10% (大部分的人都是0分，所謂的正常）
基本上3000公尺大部分的人都是滿分，基本教練基本分是18分，所以成功嶺成績的關鍵就是法規考試，誰法規考試考得高誰成功嶺的分數就高（對未來選服勤單位的很有幫助）
給那些未來的學弟們（新訓其實很快樂，不用擔心，心態調整好，進來的日子其實比在外面上班來的快樂多了，只要跟著部隊做，就絕對不會錯）日子快不快樂，取決於自己的心態，成功嶺是一個環境優美的地方！！！

美國工作面試的問題
最近我發現，我們亞洲人在美國面試跟外國人的差別最大的就是，我們永遠不知道我們在說什麼。面試的時候，我們總是在想我們說的好還是不好，其實這是錯誤的。應該是我們在表達什麼。舉一個最好的例子，想必很多人寫文章或是報告都會說
There are a lot of reasons, many opportunities, so much information or very good. When American listen to it, they always have a question in their minds "how many? how good? what information? what opportunities? Please tell me more specific details" <=We always fear that listeners judge us while listening to us, but it is not true at all. They don't want to listen to us just because we always say "general" stuffs. We should say something more specific. For example, when Human Resource asks if he/she should hire you. Probably majority of Chinese immigrants would say that we are smart, we always work hard and are willing to learn new things from work; thereafter, your eyes look at Human Resource and your ear listens to next questions.
We should respond
"I am a smart person. For example, when I work as a sales person for a beverage company, I did market research on Queens county and Manhattan county in order to analyze the market situation. At the end, I realized that buying three cases to getting one case free was the best case our company can maximize profits. I used this bottom line to negotiate with vendors and eventually I had opened 42 accounts in two weeks. Hence, I think that I am a smart person".
American wanna know that you have experience of what you say instead of general stuffs. Human Resource don't want to know that you are a human being. They want to know you are a knowledgeable employee and be ready to work for them.
So, please remember saying specific details to your Human Resource or Vice President if you are successfully moving to second round or third round.

Journal
This week is the final week of Baruch College. Almost every students have been studying in the library for at least one day of the week. Although I have no final exam in this week, I still get so many papers to write. Because of this experience, I learn that I should have taken few major courses last semester and then I would have chosen rest of them in this semester. Therefore, I wouldn't spend my whole semester looking for bibliographies and read around 1000 pages. Hopefully, my term paper could be worth an A or A- and that would ultimately increase my GPA up to a level that I am able to apply for Master Degree in Baruch College. If not, I would be probably going to other universities, such as Binghamton, NYU, or Pace. These universities usually charge more than City Universities of New York. And, when I move to upper state, I would have no opportunity to be working at private equity firm and studying in school simultaneously. Then, I lose the comparative advantage that I am supposed to own if I live in New York and attend to Baruch College.
For those who haven't decided which colleges you wanna go, Baruch College would be a great opportunity for you to spend less amount of money, but receive a great quality of academy in business field. Trust me, Baruch College is very competitive and famous in accounting and finance major. If you can graduate from here with a good GPA, you gotta great chance to work in the New York with either H-1 Sponsor or benefits when you work.
For those who haven't decided which colleges you wanna go, Baruch College would be a great opportunity for you to spend less amount of money, but receive a great quality of academy in business field. Trust me, Baruch College is very competitive and famous in accounting and finance major. If you can graduate from here with a good GPA, you gotta great chance to work in the New York with either H-1 Sponsor or benefits when you work.

來紐約前需要準備的事項
想必大家對於來到紐約讀書是一件非常美妙和期待的事情。不瞞您說，六年前，我就是帶著這樣的心情來到這裡。說實話，美國的教育制度的確在國際上是數一數二的。美國教育給學生的，不只是單方面的課本內容，它所強調是總體的自由發展，跟對知識的尊重。每個人都有足夠的空間自我發展。
所以各未來紐約之前，除了學校申請跟住宿的尋找之外，找尋自己的所喜歡的領域是一件很重要的事情。在台灣，大部份的小孩從小被灌輸考試考好成績就夠的情況下，往往長大之後，卻喪失的一個人類最大的長處，那就是思想。所以來到紐約之前，如果能夠找尋到自己的思想那最好不過，因為這將會讓你的美國生活多采多姿。
在美國機會絕對不會少，教材方面跟設備方面，樣樣不缺。所以找到自己的思想，在美國藉由充分的資源好好發展自己的思想，將會大大提身自己在社會上的競爭人力。別成為制式化的讀書機器跟家長的玩具。

Job Hunting and wonderful trip
Recently, I have applied to as many positions as I can since one and half months ago. I just received few interview opportunities and screwed up three of them. Right now, I am doing an intern at an non-for-profit organization. My boss, Robert Tolmach, is a very good President and willing to teach and to guide me in the work. He also gives me opportunity to see and to learn while he does business with other companies. It is my pleasure for me to work there, and hopefully, I can learn a lot of things from him during the intern period. By the way, I am doing job-hunting right now. Wishfully, I am able to receive a finance job from private equity firm, which I am truly dedicated to.
Besides, I just finished my first road trip one week ago. I had a great fun in this trip even though I didn't see a wild bear in the National Park. I can still recall the view of Blue Bridge Parkway while I was driving. I am more willing to say that Blue Bridge Parkway is the most beautiful driveway in the US. While driving only 30 mph, my friend and I have enough time to take a pictures and stop by every overlooks. That is a totally different view from New York City.
I realized that I couldn't visit every places in my life, but I would do my best achieving my wish. As a Taiwanese, I've never traveled around Taiwan yet, but I still have opportunities to do it because I am a Taiwanese. Although I would become an American citizen at the end of this year, honestly I preferably work at and live in Taiwan for my whole life.
"By the way, how could I upload pictures in my existed article?"
